Participants in the Workshop: UPHB in collaboration with Facilitators and Representatives of UPHB member organizationsThe Union of Organizations of Persons with Disabilities of Burundi (UPHB, in acronym) organized by the National Executive Committee and the staff of this union  a workshop of sensitization of representatives of UPHB's member organizations about female leadership.

 

 

The activities of this workshop were facilitated by a woman leader, Mrs. KARIRE, from the Association for the Promotion of Burundian Girls (APFB, acronym) and took place in the conference room at the UPHB headquarters. in Kanyosha, Muha commune in the Bujumbura Town Hall for two successive days on the 8 th and 9 th of August 2018. These activities are part of the plan

Strategic Plan 2018-2022 and targets the emergence and promotion of gender in the leadership of organizations of people with disabilities in Burundi and contributes to 2030 vision as stipulated in the Sustainable Development Goals.

 

During the first day , during the second day, participants focused on the themes of Organizational Management and Governance of a non-profit organization, emphasizing the role of women and finding solutions to the challenges they face and hampering their development. effective participation in the leadership of their organizations. The activities of this workshop ended with a closing note presented by the UPHB legal representative, Mrs. Adelaide NYIGINA. During her address, she said she was satisfied with the training and expects it to be implemented. participants in their respective organizations.
